The Top 7 Robots Your Kids Will Love on Christmas Morning!
1. Teksta Robotic Puppy
Buy Teksta from Amazon now!
The Teksta Robotic Puppy
is already very popular this year. Why? Because this dog is fun. He can
do a backflip! He has multi-colored expressive eyes. He can respond to
your hand gestures, voice commands, and to light and darkness. When it’s
dark, he will curl up beside you on your bed, or guard your bedroom all
night. He has about twenty facial expressions. You can also program him
from a tablet or iPad. For instance, you can create a dance routine to
the song of your choice, program him and he will dance it. Great little
companion robot.
2. Attacknids Robot

If you’re looking for more of a combat robot, this is what you want to get. The
Attacknids are like giant spiders
with six legs, and several different ways of shooting things. They can
navigate over rough terrain and have a battle with other robots or each
other. Or you can use them to knock down a Lego tower, dominoes or other
stuff. Plus they look really cool. These are controlled by an
easy-to-use remote control. Great for shooting stuff. Has ‘attack’ in
the name for a reason!
3. RoboMe Robot on Wheels
RoboMe
is a cute little robot with two arms, that moves around on a wheeled
base. You put an iPod or smartphone on him for his head. You can program
this little guy to do lots of things. He will ‘learn’ new things as you
use him and interact with him. He has a fun and funny personality. Put
him in ‘roam mode,’ and he will explore his environment and talk as he
moves around.
4. Sphero the Robotic Ball
Sphero is a great new robot toy ball
you control with your smart phone. It’s about the size of a billiard
ball, and you can make it roll fast or slow, left or right by tilting
your smart phone. It has about 20 games and apps you can download. You
can race it or do an obstacle course. It can even roll through water. It
can also be used as a controller for video games and some other ways. A
shout out to ArtificialBrain.net for helping me discover this one! It’s
gonna be big this Christmas.
5. BattroBorg Battling Robots

BattroBorg is another exciting
robotic fighting game.
Two motion-controlled robots slug it out in a ring, controlled by you
using a Wii-like device. You win by hits to the face or a knock-down.
You can battle against ‘targets’ for practice or against an automatic
opponent, a drone. You have to move your hands to make the robots move
and swing. People really get into this.
6. Robosapien Humanoid Robot

This guy can walk, which most of the others can’t. With your remote control, you can make your
Robosapien Robot
walk, turn, back up, talk, and swing a fist. He is 14″ tall and is
pretty flexible and fast. Pretty tough, too; it would take a lot to
break him. He knows kung fu moves, and can pick up and hold things in
his ‘paddle’ grippers. He comes with 67 programmed responses, and can
learn more. Since he’s remotely controlled, he’s not really, technically
a robot, but he is very cool and most boys would love to have one!
7. Zoomer the Robotic Dog
Zoomer Robotic Dog
Zoomer the Robotic Dog
is another good option for a pet companion. Zoomer wags his tail, can
roll over, play dead, and learn to respond to other commands. Voice
commands include “sit,” “come here,” and “go pee.” He will go and lift
up one back leg. He has very expressive LED eyes, and makes lots of
interesting sounds. Can play ball, too. Plus, he’s very fast and move
around easily on his rolling ‘balled’ paws.
